Even when you don’t have an extravagant budget, you can still have extravagant landscaping.

Here we go, 10 tips to getting an amazingly landscaped yard without breaking the bank.

1) Bright Colors

The easiest way to make a noticable difference in the look of your yard, is to spice it up with some color. Focus on plants with brightly colored blooms like the ones in the picture above.

2) Collect Rocks

This one may sound strange, but some well placed rocks can really make a difference! Not only that, they can act as ground covering to prevent the growth of weeds.

3) Share

It’s definitely cheaper to buy in bulk, so work together with your neighbors so that you can all get some variety. This can also be true with tools and equipment (just don’t be that neighbor that doesn’t give them back).

4) Go Vertical

A little change in elevation can be a great thing. While this can sometimes be a little more expensive, not to mention a little difficult, the results speak for themselves.

5) Compost

If you’re thinking “I don’t want a compost pile in my yard.” Don’t worry, we’re right there with you, but there are some easy ways to use a few things you already have in your kitchen to help your plants grow! Egg shells, coffee grounds, and banana peels are all excellent examples of high nutrition items that often get thrown away. Instead, consider placing them at the bottom of a hole when you put in a new plant.

So what do you think?

Any tips we missed? What are your favorite plants to highlight a yard? Feel free to share pictures of your yard as inspiration for others.
